🏎️✨ THE JOURNAL—ISSUE 001
Welcome to the grid!
Hey, race fans! 🫶
Welcome to the very first issue of The Journal—my new biweekly newsletter here on Journal on the Grid!
I’m absolutely ecstatic to finally have a space where I can combine everything I love about Formula 1: race weekends, journaling, writing, creativity, and all the little moments in between.
This newsletter is basically going to function as my own little F1 notebook. Part race fan diary, part creative space, and part glimpse into the things inspiring me both on and off the grid. And, of course, there will be plenty of race debriefs along the way after every Grand Prix weekend!
So, without further ado… let’s get into it 🏁✨
💗 JOURNAL UPDATES
I have been BUSY with the journal lately!
This week I:
planned out my Miami GP collage (coming soon—I’m already obsessed with it!)
sketched out my Canada spread
AND finally posted my Suzuka collage on Instagram!
The response to the Suzuka pages seriously made my whole week. Seeing so many people connect with something I poured so much time into reminded me exactly why I love journaling in the first place.
(My collage for the Japanese GP! Check out the post on Instagram here!)
✍️ WRITING UPDATES
There’s lots of plot reworking going on over here 👀
I’m currently working on my debut novel (!!) and yes… it revolves around Formula 1 because this sport is quite literally what my world spins around.
Right now, I’m in the middle of what seems to be the rework stage:
restructuring the plot and scenes
plotting out the second half of the book
and living inside Google Sheets with the fictional title fight
Google Sheets might honestly be my best friend at this point!
🏎️ DRIVER SPOTLIGHT
Kimi Antonelli has been the talk of the paddock recently—and honestly, are we surprised?
The 2026 Miami GP winner is currently on a THREE-race win streak. Kimi is now the first driver in the history of Formula 1 to convert his first three career pole positions into race wins. The nineteen-year-old remains the leader in the WDC with a whopping 100 points, and he’s the youngest driver to lead the championship!
It’s safe to say: Kimi is on FIRE!

🎧 MY FEED
Here’s some F1-related media I’ve been loving lately and think you should absolutely check out too:
🎙️ Oscar Piastri’s interview with High Performance
A really interesting look into his mindset lately, and honestly just such an inspiring listen. I loved hearing him talk about the importance of mental health and mindset!
📖 “What We Learned About the Pecking Order After Miami.”
This article takes a deep dive into how the Miami GP completely turned the tables for several teams heading into the next leg of the season. SUCH an interesting read, and it got me even more excited to watch the rest of this season play out!
🏁 THIS WEEK IN F1 HISTORY
May 13, 1950—the debut of the FIA World Drivers’ Championship in Silverstone.
May 14, 1988—Ayrton Senna delivers what many consider the greatest qualifying lap in the history of F1 in Monaco with a time of 1:23.998.
May 14, 2006—Fernando Alonso dominates the 2006 Spanish GP in front of his home fans.
May 15, 2016—Max Verstappen brings home a stunning Spanish GP victory on his Red Bull debut, making him the youngest ever Formula 1 winner.

Hi, I‘ve seen you on Instagram and really like your work! You are one of the reasons I’ve got into Formula One. First, I was just journaling. But then I found your page and the ones from many other Artists and was curious. The next day was a Race, I watched it and Fell in love with it. Thank you for that! This Newsletter is also an amazing idea! Hope you keep going and all the best, Lu
